2010 came to an end...

So I have been really bad about posting...I try but honestly Tate keeps us so busy that we forget to do anything but chase him around the house. Just a little update on how we spent the rest of the year past Tate's birthday.

- We finished of the Spring and into the summer with Randy graduating from Wake Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tate got to enjoy quality time with his grand parents during that trip.
- We enjoyed the summer with alot of out door activities; trip to the NC Life and Science Museum to visit the dinosaurs with friends, an awesome 4th of July parade with Aunt Dare and of course his first trip to the beach. Tate loved our trip to Myrtle Beach- we had to hold on tight b/c he would run to the water and try to go out way too far. He loved the fish at the aquarium and enjoyed our seafood dinner. He also enjoyed his first baseball game- not sure about that one but he did enjoy all the activity around him.
- We spent time with Uncle Josh, Aunt Annie and Caleb with a great trip to the Zoo in Columbia, SC. Caleb and Tate enjoyed the animals...but the Gorilla was a bit unnerving.
- The summer came to an end and with that Tate started spending Saturday mornings at baby gym. We needed him to burn energy and we found this was a great place to do just that. So every Saturday AM we took our 15 minute trip to Gym Carolina so Tate and one of us can play hard for 45 minutes. He has started to participate in the activities and really enjoys the bars.
- As Halloween came closer, we struggled with his costume. Mainly b/c he did not like anything on his head. We settled on him being an ECU basketball player using his birthday gift from Uncle Rick, Jennifer and Dean. Tate enjoyed his outing with Corrie at Halloween and Randy sat with our friends/neighbors in a chair watching the activity. With his recent hip surgery he was not able to walk the neighborhood with us. Tate was a trooper during the 3 months Randy wasn't as mobile as he had been. It was amazing to watch Tate bring a chair into the living room to sit and read to him. He really was in tune with the situation.
- Thanksgiving came and we spent time with family and friends. Uncle Cory and Aunt Jackie spent the day with us and had a big dinner at Aunt Dare's. Of course, Tate was the center of attention and got all the love.
- Before Christmas we had snow and of course Tate loved it. He and I went out and played in it a bit..well actually he ran up and down the side walk.
- We were just gearing up for Christmas when Tate picked up a runny nose and cough that ended up with us spending 3 nights in the local hospital. Tate had pneumonia and had to have some antibiotics and some oxygen to help him get better. He hated the tubes and kept pulling them out which left a few red marks for his holiday pictures, but he came home and that we are thankful for.
- Christmas was a joy b/c we were all together and Tate got some great gifts. His favorites include his wiggle buds (Dorothy, Wags and Henry), his giant Buzz and Elmo. Grandpa and Grammie Lucille made him puzzles out of family pictures. He loves to grab the piece of Randy and carry him around going Daddy.
- We rang in the New Year on our couch with Tate in his bed. Things are quieting down in 2011 and that is just fine with us.

Happy New Year to all...(a little late)
